Germany to impose sanctions on Dodik, Stevandić, and Višković by the end of the week at the latest

(Patria) - German authorities will impose measures on the three leaders of Republika Srpska, Istraga has learned from multiple diplomatic sources. The measures will be imposed by the end of this week at the latest.

According to Istraga's information, the measures will target the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić, and the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković.

These measures include a ban on entry into Germany for the aforementioned trio.

The acts, Istraga has learned, have already been prepared and the final signature is expected soon, which will mean the sanctions are coming into effect.

Let us recall, Dodik, Stevandić, and Višković are under investigation on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of attacking the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A central warrant has been issued for them.

However, the General Secretariat of Interpol rejected Bosnia and Herzegovina's request to issue an international arrest warrant. This means that Dodik can move freely outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Due to Hungary's veto, the EU cannot impose sanctions on Dodik. Therefore, EU member states are deciding to act independently. Germany is the first in line, and Austria is expected to adopt similar sanctions.
