German Ambassador Hohmann visited the Headquarters of the Independent Bloc

The Independent Bloc had the opportunity to host H.E. Christiane Hohmann, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Bosnia and Herzegovina. At the Party Headquarters, Ambassador Hohmann was hosted by the President of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić,
and members of the leadership and elected officials of the Independent Bloc from all over BiH, who attended a lecture and debate with Ambassador Hohmann on the topic of "The EU Path of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany's Role in that Process".

"The Independent Bloc was formed as a resistance to the existing, bad policies and an idea that seeks to build a new narrative and policy that will, truly and without hidden agendas, lead BiH to the European Union. All citizens of our country must benefit from this path, not corrupt elites who deliberately hinder our country on its European path because they fear the rule of law and the rule of institutions. The Independent Bloc, therefore, is a kind of Movement for Europe, and Germany is a great friend and supporter of our country in this process," stated Senad Šepić, President of the Independent Bloc.

In her inspiring and open presentation, Ambassador Hohmann emphasized several important points.

"The EU path of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be long, difficult, and arduous, but it will certainly bring benefits to the citizens of BiH. Major changes are necessary in almost all areas of current socio-economic policies of BiH, as well as the constitution before final accession to the EU. Germany fully supports BiH's EU path, but the authorities of our country must work more responsibly on this path and show, not just verbal interest, but concrete steps and measures that will lead BiH on this path to the final goal, which is full membership in the European Union."

After the introductory presentation, a discussion was opened in which the present members of the Independent Bloc leadership participated, seeking additional information related to accelerating BiH's EU path, as well as improving cooperation between the two friendly countries, BiH and the Federal Republic of Germany.
