River levels rising, new floods in Srebrenik and Lukavac

The rain that has been falling in BiH over the past few days has caused the water level of the Sava River to rise along its entire course through the Posavina Canton, the Federal Civil Protection Administration announced, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

The water level at the HA Modrac dam at 07:00 was 199.31 m above sea level (the overflow point is 200 m above sea level). The discharge through the bottom outlets is 59 m3/s.

Due to heavy rainfall that hit the Srebrenik Municipality from Thursday to Friday, several buildings in the Bjelave local community were flooded, due to the rising water level of the Bijela Rijeka in the Donji Potok local community and the rise of the Tinja River, whose water level at the measuring gauge near Koprić Bridge at 01:15 was 2.90 m. According to this morning's measurements, the level of the Tinja River is 1.20 m.

Intense rainfall in the last 24 hours has caused a rise in the water level of streams and local creeks in the Lukavac area and their overflowing in some places, namely:
- In the Puračić local community, a landslide cut off the local road Bukva – Turija.
- In the Gnojnica local community, the "Hanište" stream overflowed and flooded several residential buildings.
- In the Stupari local community, a creek overflowed and washed away the local road.
- In the Berkovica local community, two creeks overflowed and flooded several residential buildings.
- In the Kruševica local community, several residential buildings were flooded by a local creek.
- In the Dobošnica local community, several buildings were flooded.

In the past 24 hours, the discovery of UXO was reported in the Lukavac Municipality area, which will be removed in the coming period by the UXO removal team.

Due to the rain that fell during the night, rainwater deposited soil and sand on the roads in the settlements of Klimenta, Bistrice and Karići (Jajce Municipality), making traffic difficult.

At the Novi Šeher site, employees of the Maglaj Civil Protection received a report of an explosive device of unknown origin, which they removed and stored. In Žepče today, in the Vinište area, UXO was reported (two hand grenades in a manhole.)   The report has been forwarded to the UXO removal team of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, which will remove the found items during the day.
