No Trilateral Meeting, Bakir Presents Agreement with Željko to Dragan

Negotiations on forming the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and consequently establishing authorities at all other levels, continued last night with a meeting between DF and SDA, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

However, although on Saturday Bakir Izetbegović said that a meeting of the three coalition partners SDA, DF and HDZ BiH should be held on Monday or Tuesday, Patria learns that before that meeting, a bilateral meeting between SDA and HDZ BiH will be held.

The reason for this is an agreement between SDA and DF according to which each party must renounce part of its demands, which will also be presented to Dragan Čović, the president of HDZ BiH.

In this context, Patria learns that the distribution of portfolios in the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina could be based on the principle of 5 seats for HDZ BiH, 5 for DF, 5 for SDA, with the Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry being jointly proposed.

Allegedly, Milorad Dodik, the leader of SNSD, „pressured“ by financial difficulties in the RS, asked Dragan Čović to give up the sixth Serbian seat.

The deadline for establishing the government, which should adopt new budgets and enable the normal functioning of the state, is expiring.
