Aren't we a bit hypocritical, why does the LGBT bother us and corruption doesn't?

About ten days before the first pride parade in Sarajevo, or some kind of international gathering of LGBT community members, a debate is underway about whether the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready to accept people whose sexual orientation falls outside traditional frameworks?! To be clear, Sarajevo is a city where men who are sexually attracted to other men, or women who see themselves with another woman in marriage, already live. This time, it's going a step further, testing whether they can walk together, hand in hand, down Titova Street without fear of reprisal?

The debate surrounding the Sarajevo pride parade - you'll notice if you look around - is taking place on two diametrically opposed levels of opinion: one level is among citizens on the street who are largely uninterested in the September parade, not even at the level of statistical commentary, and the other debate, in the media, is between political parties, the non-governmental sector, activists... where reactions are quite brutal.

At a time when ethno-nationalist policies in the country, led by Milorad Dodik's SNSD and Dragan Čović's HDZ, supported by right-wing policies from Belgrade and Zagreb, are sowing fear of Bosnian Muslims, and commercializing the global wave of Islamophobia by trying to persuade the international community to divide Bosnia and Herzegovina into three ethnically homogeneous enclaves to more easily plunder their own people and achieve the goals of the past war, the appeals of conservative Bosniak political parties - the Party of Democratic Action and the Party of Justice and Reconciliation - calling for the abandonment of the procession, stating that they advocate for the 'right to a free life' while noting that the parade 'in a society like ours, which cherishes fundamental values, would nevertheless deepen the gap between people of different understandings,' appear completely counterproductive to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens.

Sarajevo is not exclusively a Bosniak Muslim city, so it is unclear why Bosniak ethno-nationalist policies take it upon themselves to defend the 'fundamental values of Sarajevo.' Or, put another way, if Sarajevo is not exclusively a Bosniak Muslim city, it is unclear why Bosniak ethno-nationalist policies are 'jumping the gun' before the 'legitimate' political representatives of the other two constituent peoples in BiH have even expressed themselves on the potential endangerment of 'the fundamental values of our society.'

Isn't the reaction and role of non-governmental organizations and individuals who have announced counter 'pride gatherings' also dishonest? Sarajevo has been without water for years, the security situation in the city is terrifying, healthcare is on its knees, education is neither here nor there, the economy is collapsing... and none of these organizations have raised their voices to date to protect the 'fundamental values of our society.'

There is no doubt that believers, traditionalists, and heterosexuals of all kinds should be allowed to express their opinion peacefully that they do not support same-sex marriage, just as there is no doubt that homosexuals should be allowed to express their feelings. According to the principle of a free market, let everyone fight for survival. However, instead of jumping to defend tradition and traditional values from the LGBT population, for starters, it would be far better, more socially beneficial, and extremely purposeful for the traditional family to direct criticism away from the LGBT community towards corruption, nepotism, political dilettantism, and nationalism in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Finally, isn't it a bit hypocritical that from the 'fundamental values of our society,' we flee in droves to Western countries, to the embrace of LGBT freedoms, for the sake of survival, primarily regardless of anything else.
