I did not believe that a human could set another human on fire and film it

Dr. Mustafa Cerić, reisu-l-ulema emeritus and president of the World Bosniak Congress, sent a letter to Jordanian King Abdullah II, expressing his horror over the murder of the Jordanian pilot Muaz al-Kasasbeh, reports the Patria news agency.

-I did not believe that any human could do such a thing to any person in the world, nor could I have imagined that anyone would ever film the monstrous act of burning a living person, whoever they were, and show it to the whole world, said Dr. Cerić, adding:

-In my country, Bosnia, I have seen death, felt fear, witnessed the pain and suffering of my people, and the image of the burning of pilot Muaz al-Kasasbeh is equally terrible and painful. The criminals who, what a paradox, invoke the honor of Islam and the pride of Muslims, did not only burn pilot Muaz al-Kasasbeh, but struck at the face and honor of our entire Ummah.

-They have set fire to the conscience of humanity, and therefore it is time to put an end to this disgrace that has affected, above all, Muslims worldwide, emphasized Dr. Cerić.

He also stated that it is time for all conscientious and responsible people and nations in the world to rise up and stop the evil spreading across the Middle East, which, if not stopped immediately and unconditionally, threatens the entire world.

-Your Royal Highness, people of Jordan, I have been convinced countless times of your sabr, your sincerity, and your loyalty to the Ummah. You have shown this again this time with the desire to resolve intra-Muslim misunderstandings through dialogue and mutual understanding. However, the extremists did not want to understand this virtue of yours.

They ignored your determination and courage to defend the honor and reputation of your faith, your country, and our Ummah. They ignored your reputation in the world. They forgot your brothers and friends in the world, said Dr. Cerić and emphasized:

- This is my voice and the voice of my and your brothers and friends from Bosnia and Herzegovina, this is an expression of our solidarity with the family of pilot Muaz al-Kasasbeh, this is our debt for your care and attention when things were hardest for us. This is our voice for the honor and pride of the Ummah in the fight against evil!, it was announced from Cerić's Public Relations Office.
