NiP's Resolution on the Protection of the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - The First Congress of the People and Justice today adopted the Resolution on the Protection of the State of BiH.

"Taking into account the increasingly strong attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, witnessing blockades and undermining of its institutions from within and without,
sensing the endangerment of stability and peace in the country, listening to continuous provocations from neighbouring countries with elements of serious threats, and watching the indecisiveness of international actors to stop the assaults on Bosnia and Herzegovina, the People and Justice adopts the Resolution on the Protection of the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina

1. The stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina means the stability of the entire region. Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina means peace in the entire region. The People and Justice is committed to peace, dialogue and good neighbourly relations.

2. The sovereignty of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its territorial integrity, constitutional order, institutions and population will be defended by all means and with our lives.

3. State property is under the exclusive jurisdiction of state institutions and is a guarantee of the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, the People and Justice rejects all initiatives for its transfer to the ownership of lower levels of decision-making. We will preserve state property located outside the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.

4. The People and Justice does not agree to the ethnic division of the country in any form, and considers all such intentions, regardless of which side they come from, as uncivilized and fascist. We will never agree to ghettoization and isolation. We preserve the multi-ethnic character of society and the rich common historical, cultural and civilizational heritage, with full respect for all differences and specificities as common values, not grounds for divisions.

5. In the event of the collapse of the Dayton Peace Agreement, we opt for the previous constitutional arrangement of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as an internationally recognized, sovereign and integral Republic.

6. Bosnia and Herzegovina is an old European state, the Bosnian nation with all its peoples and citizens is European, we did not come from anywhere and we will not go anywhere from here. Our path is the European path, and our security commitment is the NATO alliance. Our country has undertaken obligations on that path and we will fulfil them.

7. An agreement on stabilizing the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and organizing the country must be conducted exclusively within the institutions of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and decisions on competencies must be made primarily in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH. The unblocking of state institutions is a prerequisite for all further talks and negotiations.

8. Strengthening the state institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a permanent priority of the People and Justice. Strong institutions are a guarantee of the survival of this country and its population on this land.

9. We condemn the continuous inappropriate statements of the presidents of neighbouring countries towards Bosnia and Herzegovina and the people who make up and love this country. We are monitoring their steps that allude to plans to undermine the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We tell them to accept our hand of peace and sincere cooperation and never to follow the paths of their predecessors who tarnished the reputation and honour of their peoples and states before the court and the world, and then ended up on the rubbish heap of history.

10. We call on international institutions and bodies, primarily the Peace Implementation Council, the Office of the High Representative and EUFOR forces, to adequately respond, in accordance with their powers, to attempts to weaken the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and to firmly ensure that peace among its population is not disturbed.

11. We condemn all war crimes, and view the prohibition of their denial, especially the prohibition of genocide denial, as a step towards reconciliation and preventing the abuse of bloody history and victims for daily political purposes.

12. The policy of the People and Justice is a policy of programmatic coalition-building and agreement, and achieving broad consensus on the most important state processes. Therefore, we see part of the solution to the institutional crisis in the fact that current leaders stop negotiating exclusively about the distribution of power, competencies and resources, but about programs that will move this country forward and improve the daily lives of its citizens. Let them at least start this practice before they are, soon, removed from the political scene.

13. We call on all friendly countries, on both sides of the world, especially the United States of America and well-intentioned countries of the European Union, not to allow an attempt to do in Bosnia and Herzegovina what was done less than thirty years ago, and which was condemned by humanity as genocide, ethnic cleansing, crimes against humanity, and a joint criminal enterprise. Preventive sanctioning of public officials who, through their rhetoric, unconstitutional actions, obstructions and blockades of institutions, disrupt stability and peace, will be a cure for this country and its citizens. But also a cure for the actors of destabilization themselves – so that they do not completely fall into the political abyss and drag into it both their principals and blind followers, and even innocent citizens. Support us to stop this together, while there is still time.
