NIP Centar claims Mandić allowed construction of a 22-storey building on Marijin Dvor, increased the number of floors of a building on Crni vrh

(Patria) - The Municipal Board of the People and Justice Party Centar issued a press release stating that

a few days ago the Mayor of Centar Municipality Srđan Mandić signed an urban permit for the construction of a 22-storey building on Marijin Dvor, plus three underground levels.

The permit was signed for the investor Hotel Europe Group, which plans to build a 22-storey skyscraper on the site adjacent to the Hotel Holiday building.

"A few months ago, Mandić, using all means in an attempt to hold onto his position as mayor, misled the public by mentioning alleged pressures and blackmail from certain councilors who demanded that he favor private investors, and in that context claimed that the recall was initiated because he refused to agree to this. While the story about the recall was ongoing, the mayor played chess with residents on a green area, and when he prevented this legal right of citizens, now near that location he signs an approval for the construction of a 22-storey building.

Perhaps the mayor should now answer who exerted 'pressure on him' then, but also now, so that he signed the urban consent for the construction of a 22-storey building, and if someone did, let him reveal the names of those individuals.

Why did the mayor also allow the construction of a building on Crni vrh with three more floors than previously planned, so that this complex now has nine floors, and part of it was built on waqf land?!

It is obvious that the mayor does not choose the method to accuse everyone who does not think like him, while in fact he is the one who, in every possible way, creates urban chaos in the area of the Centar municipality.

The mayor did not issue consents to the Central Bank, a state institution, but he was certainly willing to accommodate private investors. As a reminder, he also allowed the construction of a gas station in a densely populated part of our local community, against which residents raised their voices, the same ones he swore by during the recall, but whom he does not hear at all when they have problems.

Let us recall another case. Only thanks to honest and responsible councilors was the regulatory plan Marijin Dvor-Crni vrh annulled, where the construction of residential buildings was also planned," states the NIP Centar Municipal Board.
