NIP Centar: We are not a rogue organization, but we think for ourselves and will decide who to support for mayor

(Patria) - The Municipal Organization of People and Justice Centar has held talks with all candidates for mayor of Centar Municipality, with the exception of Srđan Mandić, and in accordance with the previously stated positions of the bodies.

The talks were held to give the candidates for mayor an opportunity to present their plans and programs and answer questions from members and candidates of People and Justice, with the aim of gaining a more detailed insight and making a decision on the support of the statutory bodies for one of the candidates.

Through this, People and Justice Centar primarily expresses regret that, as a party with the largest number of councilors and the most active and productive club in the Municipal Council in the past term, it was not able to offer its candidate for mayor, due to respecting the coalition agreement between the parties of the Trojka in KS.

Given this situation, meetings were held with all candidates, and in the coming days, the official bodies of the NiP Centar party will decide who to support.

NiP Centar, in accordance with the party's Statute, but primarily due to its obligation to the citizens, has the right to choose a candidate in the interest of the local community whom it believes will do the best job in the next four years.

We would like to reiterate that all information about this Organization having decided to give its support, which has appeared in the media in recent days, is just speculation and spin being released from who knows what centers and for what reasons.

NIP Centar will continue to act in accordance with the Statute and with full respect for the president and bodies of the party. It is evident that some malicious individuals are trying to exploit every situation, including this one, to create a rift within the party by portraying NIP Centar as a rogue organization – which we strongly deny and condemn. Of course, we reserve the right to think for ourselves and the obligation to fight for the correct principles established by NiP, both within its own documents and in signed coalition documents, and to persevere in that.

We have committed to improving the situation and opposing, with both words and deeds, that which we disagree with and for which we have irrefutable arguments that it is not correct. Otherwise, what would be the purpose of the slogan "we are restoring trust to the people and we promise to be just".

NiP Centar strives to adhere to that principle and act accordingly.
