Nikšić: I am aware of the merger of NBL and A-SDA, three out of four partners are already in government with them

SARAJEVO, (Patria) – SDP BiH President Nermin Nikšić confirmed today that he is aware of the story about the merger of Ibrahim Hadžibajrić's Independent Bosnian List and Nermin Ogrešević's A-SDA into a single political entity, which should be formalized on Saturday, February 27, at the Hills Hotel in Sarajevo.

For Nikšić, as well as other partners, A-SDA is an acceptable partner.

„We are partners with A-SDA in the Una-Sana Canton, and NBL is a partner here in the Sarajevo Canton. I am aware that preparations are underway, I believe it is some kind of unification congress, and there will be a new name for the political entity. This that is happening in USK, in Tuzla Canton, this that we have in Sarajevo Canton is not the Four everywhere; the partners are different, but we function in a way that we have trust in each other, that we have nothing behind the scenes, that no one does anything behind anyone's back, we do not agree on everything, we do not think the same about everything, you have in a family that not everyone thinks the same, but we negotiate and it is not a problem for us to talk about things we do not agree on and try to reach a solution,” says Nikšić.

He explains that this gathering could be a pledge for the story in 2022, meaning that the bloc of opposition parties could achieve a result to finally form a government without ethnonational parties.

SDP BiH will not support any solution that introduces new segregation and new divisions, and that will not implement the rulings of the Court in Strasbourg.
