(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH sent a request to the Federal Prosecutor's Office, signed by Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, asking for clarification on whether the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, at which his role in the "Munjić and others" case is one of the agenda items, will compromise the integrity of the investigation in this mentioned case.
An extraordinary session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament is scheduled for Friday, November 21, with one agenda item: "Information on alleged illegal actions of Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić and interference in the work of police bodies of the Federation of BiH".
It was convened by the Speaker Dragan Mioković, at the initiative of the caucuses of DF, SDA, and SBiH. In this regard, the Government has sent a request to POSKOK and is seeking clarification from the chief federal prosecutor Munib Halilović.

"Aware that the work of judicial bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina must be independent and free from any undue influence or pressure regarding investigative and judicial proceedings, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina requests that the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina respond whether holding the aforementioned session can compromise the integrity of the investigation in the case currently being conducted before the Special Department of the Federal Prosecutor's Office of the Federation of BiH for combating corruption, organized and inter-cantonal crime, whose actors are officials of federal bodies," the request, sent yesterday, states.
We remind you that on Friday, a hearing was held before the Special Department of the Supreme Court of the Federation for Corruption in the case that POSKOK is conducting against Vahidin Munjić, acting director of FUP, who has been banned from performing his duties, federal police officer Muhamed Ohranović, head of the cabinet of the FBiH Prime Minister Arijana Huseinović Ajanović, and director of the Police Academy FMUP Evina Mušinović, who are charged with criminal offenses of Receiving a Reward or Other Form of Benefit for Trading Influence and Abuse of Official Position or Authority under the Criminal Code of the FBiH.
All suspects have been issued measures prohibiting them from performing their duties, meeting with each other, and meeting with, among others, Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić, who is directly connected to this case, not only through the head of cabinet Huseinović Ajanović but also through questionable communication with Munjić, writes Istraga.ba
