Nikšić: This will end with sanctions, I would prefer that the judicial institutions of BiH do it

(Patria) - I don't trust this government at all, HDZ-SDA-SNSD are natural partners, it's time for talks to be held in BiH institutions - these are the messages of Nermin Nikšić, president of the SDP BiH during his appearance on the show Dan uživo.

"We have blockades at every moment and now... there are differences between SDA-HDZ-SNSD, but it is obvious that they are natural partners. SDP has launched a diplomatic offensive, so we have addressed the High Representative, we have addressed the ambassadors of the Dayton signatories, we have addressed the Socialist International to do everything so that BiH is discussed in the European Parliament," emphasized Nikšić, who believes that Russia and China are giving wind to the back of Milorad Dodik:

'This will end with sanctions, I would prefer that the judicial institutions of BiH do it because this is an attack on sovereignty. SDP will file reports against various politicians, Dodik is the initiator of everything.

The recent political events have somewhat degraded the influence of the OHR, but its existence has not been challenged. Dodik's gloating was expected. I believe he is gloating prematurely. The report has reached all relevant factors and it is important that the report contains all the facts to present the true situation in BiH."

During the interview, Nikšić also spoke about next year's elections. He explains that in the current political circumstances, it is inappropriate to talk about candidates, coalitions, etc. However, he pointed out that SDP in the RS entity will be part of the Movement for BiH. "SDP won 11-12 thousand votes in the last elections and did not cross the electoral threshold. It is important that our voice is heard in the NSRS. SDP is present in all parts of the country, but we are not in the NSRS. SDP is the largest multi-ethnic party in BiH. We are in opposition to this government, but we are not in opposition to the state," added Nikšić.

Given the current political blockades and different messages, Nikšić believes that it is time to make decisions and talk in BiH institutions. Therefore, he considers the current stories about the session of the Council of Ministers unnecessary.

"Here, no one trusts anyone anymore, there are thousands of conspiracy theories about why the session of the Council of Ministers of BiH was scheduled. As for the Election Law, I am not optimistic and I cannot spread optimism, although, I repeat, SDP is ready to be part of the solution. We have divided views; on one hand, our support for amending the Constitution is expected, while we are aware that the Election Law can be adopted without our votes,' concluded Nikšić, and stated:

"In these areas, history repeats itself, and since we had a war less than 30 years ago, now we need to feed those who thrive on war themes, who keep us in that period. We hope to have fair and honest elections to know the voters' stance, not elections like before..."
