Nikšić: FBiH Government is ready to help "Cimos" in Srebrenica

Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Nikšić today spoke with a delegation of the company "Cimos", led by the director of CIMOS TMD Ai d.o.o. Gradačac for BiH and the region within the "Cimos" group, Goran Dimc. The meeting was also attended by Federal Ministers of Displaced Persons and Refugees Adil Osmanović, Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Sanjin Halimović, Environment and Tourism Branka Đurić, as well as the Vice-President of the Management Board of the Development Bank of FBiH Borislav Trlin, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH Iztok Grmek.

Cimos factories in Gradačac, Zenica, Novi Travnik and Sarajevo are operating as expected and showing positive progress, while the factory in Srebrenica operated below expectations last year, with a loss of half a million euros. Assessing BiH as an important economic partner, and Cimos companies as the largest exporter to Slovenia, Cimos representatives addressed the Federal Government for support in finding solutions to technically and technologically upgrade production in Srebrenica, which would enable its positive operation and preservation of jobs in the future.

Highlighting the special status of Srebrenica, Prime Minister Nikšić stated that the Federal Government is committed to helping this municipality and will, within its capabilities, contribute to enabling a better life for the citizens of Srebrenica.

- We are ready to participate and find solutions for effective assistance to the Cimos factory in Srebrenica and for the preservation of much-needed jobs in this municipality - said Prime Minister Nikšić.
