Nikšić: FTV also took part in the blackmail to appoint Lukač!

The still-current Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH and President of the SDP, Nermin Nikšić, stated during last night's appearance on FTV's “Dnevnik D” that the government that is to be formed is not in the interest of BiH citizens, but is the result of those citizens' electoral will, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

– Those who did everything in the previous four years to block this government and this administration, and even pointed out how in 2012, when the SDP embarked on a government reconstruction, it was characterized as incompetent, have now shown their ability in forming the government, Nikšić claimed.

Nikšić admitted that the SDP had made mistakes and that he respects the electoral will of the citizens. When asked whether a new SDP is emerging, Nikšić said:

– The commitment of the SDP's Extraordinary Congress is to try to create a completely new SDP. To bring in more new faces, young and ready people to tackle the problems ahead of us.

One of the topics of discussion was the former party president Zlatko Lagumdžija.

– Lagumdžija was president of the SDP for years, while for the last 7-8 years I was his first associate. He made decisions as president, while I gave him sincere advice. Now I am the president of the SDP, so I am also president to Lagumdžija. I will listen to anyone who wants to give well-intentioned advice, but now I, with my associates and my team, am in a position to make decisions, Nikšić said, adding that the SDP will not continue Lagumdžija's policy, and that it can be noticed how the SDP has changed and that new people have come into the party.

Nikšić also touched on the topic of not appointing Dragan Lukač to the position of Director of the Federal Police Administration.

– We have a new law on internal affairs that provides for a completely different procedure from the one under the old law. It follows from this that there is no possibility to announce a competition for the director of the FUP under the old law, said Nikšić, stating that because of this case, he himself was the subject of blackmail.

– I was the subject of blackmail in which the Federal Television also took part. I was blackmailed with contributions to the show “Mreža” where it was demanded that I give in and ensure that Mr. Lukač is appointed, and as an act of goodwill, the mentioned show would not air a segment about the “life and work of Nermin Nikšić”. When I refused, that segment was aired after the Extraordinary Congress, said Nikšić.
