Nikšić: Heavy machinery stays, and if needed new ones will come, but we must help you

Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić visited Željezno polje near Žepče today. He announced that the Civil Protection team, together with heavy machinery, will remain in this area, and the government will make additional efforts to reestablish the road connection of Željezno polje with the main highway Doboj – Sarajevo as soon as possible, reports a reporter of the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Željezno polje is one of the most endangered places in the Federation of BiH, where during the devastating May floods that hit most of BiH, several hundred people were left without a roof over their heads.

Prime Minister Nikšić promised to do everything so that every endangered family from this place gets a roof over their heads by the beginning of winter. Several hundred residents of Željezno polje still live in collective shelters or with relatives, reports a NAP reporter.

Given that this place, with about 5,000 inhabitants, lives mainly from agriculture, fruit growing and beekeeping, it is equally important for these people to repair the destroyed road communication as well as auxiliary facilities on their properties.

Nikšić also promised an additional 670,000 KM for the municipality of Žepče from the credit funds of the World Bank, a decision on which will be made tomorrow at the session of the Government of the Federation of BiH, writes NAP.
