Nikšić: I wrote messages to Munjic, I will continue to communicate with any FUP director, let the police do their job

(Patria) - Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić confirmed that he wrote messages to the acting director of the Federal Police Administration Vahidin Munjic, which were published on Sunday by journalist Avdo Avdic in the show Investigation of the Week.

"Yes, I wrote them. I am asking the police to do their job," Nikšić told Zvonko Komšić in the Morning for All on BHRT.

When asked if the prime minister can communicate with the FUP director, Nikšić said that "in the FMUP system, FUP reports to the government".

This statement by Nikšić is not true because, according to the Law on Internal Affairs of the FBiH, the FUP director reports to the Independent Board of the FBiH Parliament, and then the Independent Board sends the report to the Government and Parliament.

"I will continue to communicate, whoever the director of FUP is," said Nikšić.

Nikšić said that during the day he will send letters to VSTV and POSKOK, "if there is anything, let them do it, but if there is also lies, let them do that too".

"Our key commitment is the fight against corruption and crime. We have created all the prerequisites, let anyone who claims I asked for the prosecution of anyone in particular come forward. But I will ask them to do their job," said Nikšić.

When asked if the wife of police officer Muhamed Ohranović was appointed as an executive director in JP Elektroprivreda BiH, Nikšić said that "it was much earlier". However, the published messages reveal that it was in the same period when the messages were exchanged.

Speaking about his chief of staff Arijana Huseinović, Nikšić said "that she controls everything" and that he absolutely trusts everyone in his team.

Nikšić added that he is not afraid of responsibility.

"Neither I nor anyone in my environment are amnestied if anything is illegal," said the Prime Minister of FBiH, adding that he is still communicating with the director of FUP.

He tried to justify it by the fact that "people write to him when there are problems on the ground and that he should report it to the director".

"What am I supposed to say, I'm not allowed to contact the director. I will never ask for someone to be framed," he said.

Speaking about relations with Dragan Čović and Milorad Dodik, Nikšić said at one point that "it is a lie that Dodik cursed genocide in Konjic".

When asked if the 13th pension will be paid, he said that there are different wishes, so someone will ask for a 14th pension as well.
