Nikšić promised help to the "Gredelj-Revom" union

Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Nikšić received representatives of the union of the company "Gredelj-Revom" d.o.o. Dobošnica today at the headquarters of the FBiH Government in Sarajevo. The union members have been on strike for months and have been in Sarajevo for ten days to draw attention to the problems they face and try to find an acceptable solution, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Representatives of the Metalworkers' Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by president Muhamed Hadžić, and the management of the Public Enterprise Railways of the Federation of BiH also attended the meeting.

As stated by the representatives of "Gredelj-Revom", who have not received wages for 40 months, they have repeatedly tried unsuccessfully to contact the majority owner of their company, who is in Croatia, but they did not succeed. Therefore, they asked the FBiH Government to try to establish contact with the Croatian side in order to try to find a solution for this unsuccessfully privatized company.

Namely, the majority owner of this company is the Railway Car Factory "Gredelj" from Zagreb, which is in bankruptcy, and its owner is Croatian Railways - Passenger Transport, which is a state-owned company.

The Federal Prime Minister emphasized that, on behalf of the FBiH Government, he will send a letter to the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the relevant ministry, requesting their involvement in resolving the problems of about seventy employees in "Gredelj-Revom".

Representatives of the Railways of the Federation of BiH expressed their interest in "Gredelj" continuing its operations, and emphasized that they have about 700 wagons that need to be overhauled, which is currently impossible because the company from Dobošnica is not functioning. In this regard, they expressed their readiness to actively participate in resolving the problems of this business entity.

The meeting also raised the issue of controlling the legality of the privatization of "Gredelj-Revom", as well as resolving the health insurance of employees and their family members, which, as stated, falls under cantonal jurisdiction.
