(Patria) - The President of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, has informed the membership that he will step down as head of the party this year, reports Istraga.ba on its X platform.

Nikšić was elected president of SDP at an extraordinary congress of SDP BiH, held in December 2014, and was subsequently re-elected in 2019.

At the Congress held in June 2023, a decision was made to extend his mandate as head of SDP until the end of 2024.
