Nikšić: It's never too late for a quarrel, but I sincerely hope it won't happen

(Patria) - At the very beginning of his address to the media after today's meeting with representatives of SNSD and HDZ BiH in Mostar, SDP BiH leader Nermin Nikšić complained that he is constantly being criticized lately for his talk about compromise, dialogue, and the need to find solutions.

- I believe that it is easiest to quarrel, to seek something that will divide us, distance us. I think that politics shows, and it showed today, that we were all ready for dialogue, to seek solutions.

We believe that we have made certain progress, that we have moved closer to solutions in certain matters, although we still have different views on some issues - Nikšić said.

Our commitment, Nikšić points out, is to try to fulfill as many conditions as possible on the path to the EU, so that we can then ask the EU representatives to honor their promise to BiH.

- We also have the promise of most of BiH's significant friends from the EU who will advocate for the opening of negotiations between BiH and the EU.

This is not a competition between representatives, nor about who will win and who will lose. Whoever of the three of us loses there, Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens would lose.

Every step forward is in the interest of all citizens of BiH. All adopted laws are not a victory for any of us, but only for the citizens of BiH.
