Nikšić: The meeting is not over

At the meeting of the Troika, HDZ BiH, and SNSD, Nikšić emphasized, a number of topics were opened.

- We are missing certain trains, and then we are late with things we could have resolved. We are not prepared to cross the red line even now - said Nikšić.

Each of us, added the leader of SDP BiH, has certain principles that he does not want to give up, assessing it as a great thing that BiH has opened negotiations.

- Just as we are always ready for compromise and how to achieve the interest of all citizens in BiH, we are ready to step back so that there is no price for which we will cross the red line and endanger the interests of citizens - said Nikšić.

He is aware that the Troika's partners from the smaller BiH entity have a different view. He says they are used to that, and adds that they have never tried to say that they see certain things the same way.

- Compromise does not mean that we accept the imposition of narratives and relationships, but that we all give in a little and agree - Nikšić points out.

He, like the leader of SNSD Milorad Dodik - addressing the media before him, also stated that he believes the meeting is not over.

- I don't have any good news, we believe the meeting is not over, we will agree on when we will meet again and resolve the issues on the table.

I think I am speaking on behalf of the Troika - we are not ready to cross the red line against the interests of BiH.

The red line was clearly set earlier, when it comes to the BiH Constitution, the budget, and other matters important for BiH - concluded Nikšić.

Konaković: At times, a difficult meeting

The leader of People and Justice (NIP) Elmedin Konaković shared a similar opinion as Dodik and Nikšić, assessing tonight's meeting as unproductive and at times difficult.

He said that the SNSD leader initiated the discussion about the Resolution on the Genocide in Srebrenica, and stated that he is not interested in what he thinks about it.

The NIP leader says he regrets that the meeting participants did not reach an agreement on "normal" things, although he does not understand why politicians from the smaller BiH entity link the state budget to other political issues.

He also assessed that it is important for the budget of BiH institutions to be adopted by June, and added that he is against blockades, as they do not bring anything good to anyone.

- The issue of foreign judges is elementary for us, the protection of the Constitutional Court and the OHR is something we have not given up on - added the NIP leader.

Čović again on legitimate representation

For the leader of HDZ BiH, Dragan Čović, it is commendable that the coalition partners met at all.

- We must try to truly open the negotiation process with the EU. We must have a budget to receive EU funds, and even without that, it is necessary to complete that obligation.

There was no reason for the Election Law and the Court Law not to be at the Council of Ministers. The House of Peoples of BiH is not functioning, it must function. We cannot be hostages to the SDA's decision - says Čović.

He emphasizes that a judge of the state Constitutional Court from the FBiH will be elected soon.

- I expect us to have a new meeting in the next seven to ten days. We must be wiser.

What are our red lines? Legitimate representation, constitutionality of peoples - said Čović, adding that Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have a clear foreign policy strategy.
