Nikšić: There is no possibility of the BH bloc collapsing

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The conclusions were adopted by a large majority at the SDP Main Board session, it was decided that a congress will be held and elections for the president of SDP BiH will be organized, said the president of SDP after the session, Nermin Nikšić.

He added that everything announced today has been realized.

Commenting on the situation with the formation of government in the Tuzla Canton, Nikšić said that there are three political blocs in TK: SBB-PDA, SDA-SBiH, and BH bloc.

"We will offer and discuss, and then we will see what happens, but there is no possibility of the BH bloc collapsing. There is a possibility that someone will enter into a coalition with SDA, thereby deciding that they are not part of the BH bloc," said Nikšić.

The president of SDP said that the party's congress will be held on June 8, and the first round of presidential elections on May 26. He added that if necessary, the second round of presidential elections will be held seven days earlier.  

Nikšić did not want to specify whether he would be among the candidates for party president.

These are the conclusions adopted by the Main Board of SDP BiH: 

- The Main Board of SDP BiH stands by its position that government should not be formed with national parties

- The Main Board of SDP BIH fully supports the Cantonal Committee of SDP BIH TK in offering a program to the civic platform for the formation of government in TK

- The Main Board of SDP BIH tasks the Cantonal Committee of SDP BIH TK to create a work program for the future Government, which will be offered to the cantonal organizations of NS, DF, SZBIH SBB

- The Main Board of SDP BIH tasks the President of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, and the vice-presidents of SDP BiH, Denis Bećirović and Zukan Helez, to fully assist the Cantonal Committee of SDP BIH TK in realizing the formation of the Government in TK

- The program of the Cantonal Committee of SDP BIH TK will be published to the public of TK and sent to all deputies in the Cantonal Assembly, if someone as an individual wishes to support the program and measures planned by the future Government's program.
