Nikšić announced that Dodik's secession act will be forwarded to the BiH Prosecutor's Office

(Patria) - If I receive an act in any form from any person or body attempting to violate state sovereignty and initiate any kind of communication on that topic, it will be forwarded to the BiH Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings without delay.

This was promised today on social media by the Federal Prime Minister and President of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, alluding to the announcements of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik regarding secession.

"Let us reiterate some key lessons and messages from history and law:

1. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a sovereign, indivisible state;

2. Entities have no rights or possibilities to deal with the issue of Bosnia and Herzegovina's statehood at all;

3. According to the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, each entity is obliged to 'provide all necessary assistance to the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina to enable it to fulfill the international obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina'.

Therefore, the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska have a constitutional obligation to assist the state on its European path by fulfilling assumed obligations, instead of hindering it and initiating unconstitutional procedures;

4. The FBiH will respect constitutional competencies and limitations in its actions, and we will provide every form of assistance to our only, unified, and common state in all matters;

5. If I receive an act in any form from any person or body attempting to violate state sovereignty and initiate any kind of communication on that topic, it will be forwarded without delay to the BiH Prosecutor's Office for further proceedings and prosecution of those responsible for committing criminal offenses against the integrity and sovereignty of BiH", Nikšić stated in a post on his Facebook profile.
