Nikšić, Kojović and Konaković in Goražde support Ernest Imamović

GORAŽDE, (Patria) – The presidents of SDP BiH, Our Party, and People and Justice, Nermin Nikšić, Predrag Kojović, and Elmedin Konaković, today in Goražde jointly supported the candidate Ernest Imamović for the mayor of Goražde and attended the signing of an agreement between the municipal organizations of these three parties on joint cooperation.

The president of NIP, Elmedin Konaković, said that their presence as party presidents alone shows how much they care about this neglected part of Bosnia and Herzegovina returning to the spotlight. He said that a new energy is embodied in the figure of the young Imamović.

“As politicians, we did not hesitate for a second. He is a top candidate, not only his family tree and his father, who is one of the greatest heroes, but also his personal qualities and his desire to continue the fight for a better Bosnia and Herzegovina are in the foreground,” said Konaković.

He added that the candidate lists are also like that, with the energy of young people who have stayed to fight for their city.

“I am sure that he will have a majority in the City Council,” said Konaković.

Kojović emphasized that Our Party stands 100% behind Ernest Imamović.

“A man who is the descendant of an exceptional man and hero who knew how to choose the right side, and the son has now known how to choose the right side, and now it is only up to the citizens to choose the right side,” said Kojović.

The president of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, emphasized that they act as a team, as people who are ready to set aside their egos and party interests in order to achieve higher interests.

“He left a more comfortable and better life in the capital and decided to return and fight with you for a better Goražde, for a better environment. Ernest Imamović is a man who is ready and has offered his reputation, his honor, and his life for you to choose between him and some other candidates, and to choose whether you want a mayor who will be the mayor of all citizens,” said Nikšić.

He added that all attempts to sow seeds of doubt between the three of them fail because “we are friends and comrades who have weighed our political status and found a way to overcome differences and promote positive values.”

“Today we are here for Goražde, we offer something new, we offer people who are ready for agreement. We do not divide municipalities by saying one is more important than another. This is the first step we will take to make a final breakthrough in 2022 and form a government without national parties,” concluded Nikšić.

Imamović said that these three parties have 65 candidates for councilors, and that every citizen can find someone to vote for.

“This is a broader coalition, not just for me as a candidate for local and then general elections, but a decade-long policy that will bring final victory and final dignity to the city of Goražde, Konjic, Sarajevo. What we want is for everyone to have equal opportunities in this city; over 50% of young people are on our lists, who have made themselves available. We want to restore the character of the city of Goražde. Today, Goražde has no cinema, no swimming pool. We want a city lake, to restore that dignity. Many have returned here who want to prove themselves through their work. We want to change the character of Goražde, which must be the center of this region,” emphasized Imamović.
