Nikšić: Only the left can unite BiH and lead it into a prosperous future

The parliamentary majority in the FBiH does not exist even mathematically. The five-party coalition of SDA, HDZ, SBiH, A-SDA and BPS does not have the required number of votes in the House of Peoples, and it is questionable whether they have the support of the necessary 50 delegates in the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament.

Everything that SDA and HDZ are attempting is irresponsible and unserious towards the state of BiH and its citizens, because in this way the European path and the implementation of reforms, for which we currently have great support from the European Union and other international partners, are being called into question, said the president of the SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić in an interview for the Vijesti.ba portal, as reported by the Bosnian news agency Patria.

He warned that such an approach by SDA and HDZ BiH could jeopardise the EU support that our country currently enjoys, which would be a huge damage for BiH and all its citizens.

- Forming coalitions with the help of calculators, without any concept or work plan, is not a solution to the problem, but rather its deepening, and we are witnessing this day by day. Any story about how SDA and HDZ will implement any reforms is just a facade behind which hides a struggle for control over public companies and the resources of this state and its citizens – Nikšić warned very sharply.

Asked what the solution to the political crisis is if this coalition also fails to function, and whether the current opposition will try to form a new government, Nikšić said that the SDP has been warning for months that the only effective solution to the government crisis is holding early elections.

He also said that the unity of the left is something BiH needs immediately, because the left is the only one that can unite BiH and lead it into a prosperous future.
