Nikšić: Public enterprises must clearly show what they do for citizens

(Patria) - Federal Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić held a meeting today at the seat of the FBiH Government in Sarajevo with directors of public enterprises majority-owned by the FBiH.

- Public enterprises do not exist for their own sake; through their work they must daily justify the trust of citizens. This implies responsibility, but also clear, open communication - Nikšić said at today's meeting.

Alongside him, the meeting was also attended by FBiH Deputy Prime Ministers Toni Kraljević and Vojin Mijatović. Discussions were held on strengthening cooperation and establishing a strategic approach in presenting key projects, reforms and results achieved by public enterprises.

- We do not want PR for the sake of PR. We seek truthful, proactive and understandable communication that shows how and where public money is invested. Transparency is the only way for citizens to understand the true value of your work and support the reform processes we are leading - Nikšić emphasised.

At the meeting, it was agreed to align the annual communication plans of public enterprises with the strategic goals of the FBiH Government. Special emphasis was placed on the need for a unified approach, coordinated messages and clearer presentation of the impact of projects on the daily lives of citizens.

- It is important that people know who is building new roads, who is investing in energy security or digital systems. These are not invisible activities; they are concrete advances behind which public enterprises stand - Nikšić stressed.

The need for education and empowerment of communication teams within enterprises was also highlighted, so that information is accurate, accessible and tailored to the modern channels of information that citizens use daily.

- As a Government, our task is to support you, but also to build public trust together with you. Every progress you achieve should be visible, clear and measurable - Nikšić concluded.
