Nikšić, Ivanić and numerous other officials congratulated Eid al-Adha

On the occasion of the upcoming Eid al-Adha, numerous officials from Bosnia and Herzegovina have sent congratulations to the citizens of BiH of Muslim faith, writes Patria News Agency.

The President of the Social Democratic Party of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, sent a congratulatory message to the Rais al-ulama of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein ef. Kavazović, and all Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

- I wish you to spend the coming days of Eid al-Adha in good spirits, health and happiness with your loved ones and to share the joys of this holiday with them. Also, on behalf of the Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina and myself, I wish Eid al-Adha to all Muslims.

This holiday, which symbolizes sacrifice, is an additional opportunity for us to prove how willing we are to sacrifice ourselves for mutual respect and the common good of all of us. Living in that spirit, doing good deeds and helping those most in need of our help, we send messages of peace, friendship and coexistence.

The BiH Presidency member from Republika Srpska, Mladen Ivanić, congratulated Eid al-Adha to the head of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein Kavazović, muftis, imams, and all Muslims in BiH, with the wish that they spend it in peace and happiness.

- Holidays are a time of joy and celebration in the homes of believers. I am convinced that the traditional symbolism of the holiday will inspire people towards tolerance and understanding, with the aim of peaceful and prosperous coexistence. I wish all believers of the Islamic faith a happy and joyous Eid al-Adha - Ivanić said.

The Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH, Ismir Jusko, sent a congratulatory message to Muslims in BiH and the diaspora on the occasion of the great holiday.

- May this Eid also contribute to the strengthening and enrichment of family, friendship, and neighborly ties, and may it remind us all of the universal and lasting messages of Eid al-Adha about community, willingness to sacrifice for the common good, care for the poor and helpless, and mutual solidarity and respect. The Mayor of Tuzla, Jasmin Imamović, and the Speaker of the City Council, Aleksandar Vujadinović, also sent congratulations on the occasion of the Islamic holiday.

The Speaker of the Parliament of Sarajevo Canton, Ana Babić, the Deputy Speakers Sabahudin Delalić and Sejo Bukva, the Prime Minister Elmedin Konaković, the deputies in the Parliament and the ministers in the Government of Sarajevo Canton sent a congratulatory message of the following content:

- We sincerely congratulate you on Eid al-Adha with the warmest wishes that you spend the upcoming holidays in good health and spirits with your loved ones and share the joys they bring with them. Without the ideals of sacrificing for one's own beliefs and worldview and renouncing for family and loved ones, without willingness to sacrifice for the Homeland as well as harmony in society, without the sacrifice of forgiveness and reconciliation, there is no complete reason and meaning of human existence. May the spiritual purification gained by offering sacrifice strengthen personal and national will in suppressing senseless hostilities and encourage determination to confront the enemies of our homeland, for peace and human solidarity, for resistance to propaganda lies and incitement to turmoil for the production of defeatism and mistrust in building our social community and state.

The candidate for the BiH Presidency member in the General Elections 2018, Jerko Ivanković Lijanović, also sent an Eid greeting.

- From the bottom of my heart, I wish all Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina and around the world to spend the coming days of Eid in health and happiness surrounded by their loved ones. To all those who had to leave their hometowns in search of a livelihood and who will spend this Eid, like all other holidays and important days, with their loved ones only through social networks, I wish that in the future, after we make the eagerly awaited and necessary changes together, such a situation will change and that all who wish will return to their homes and their native lands where they will celebrate all the beautiful moments with their loved ones.
