Nikšić and SDP delegation in Stolac: BiH lives from the Sava to the sea, from the Una to the Drina

(Patria) - The President of SDP BiH, Nermin Nikšić, posted photos on his FB profile from Stolac, where an SDP delegation visited today.

"Today, as part of the activities commemorating the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, we visited Stolac. After Sarajevo, Brčko, Mrkonjić Grad, and Banja Luka, it was time for the southern pearl of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We paid tribute to the fallen anti-fascists and defenders of Stolac from the last war against our homeland.

Then we visited Hotel Stolac, a facility owned by SDP BiH. This is a project we are particularly proud of, a project that best reflects what can be achieved when support and trust are given to young local entrepreneurs. What was once a ruin is today a representative facility that employs a significant number of young people from Stolac.

After that, we visited the Uzinovići Health Center, for which SDP BiH cadres provided assistance in the past by procuring a much-needed new ambulance and technical equipment.

In the bazaar, we were reminded of the renovation projects supported or led by people from SDP. The Stolac Bazaar Mosque, a national monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina, was renovated after the then-Prime Minister, a native of Stolac, the late Alija Behmen, provided financial support for the project. Our people also renovated the recognizable Stolac clock tower and a number of other cultural monuments.

I am glad that during the mandate of the FBiH Government, of which I was Prime Minister, the beautiful Stolac mills were also renovated. It is particularly important to me that by the Government's decision, we prevented the local authorities from seizing the mills from their centuries-old users, to whom we granted the mills in permanent possession.

From Banja Luka to Stolac, from the Sava to the sea, and from the Una to the Drina, Bosnia and Herzegovina lives, our people live and survive. It is time to offer people in every part of our country more than divisions and hatred, it is time for people to live Bosnia and Herzegovina in its fullness, diversity, and richness of differences."
