Nikšić and Del Vechio: SDP will always be a barrier to the policy of further divisions in BiH

President of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić received Ivan Del Vechio, the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to our country, in an inaugural visit. Del Vechio congratulated Nikšić on his direct election as president of SDP BiH, reports the Patria news agency.

Ambassador Del Vechio was briefed on the current political situation in BiH during the meeting and emphasized Croatia's commitment to further good neighborly relations with our country, whether in economic or political terms. 

Nikšić expressed concern to the ambassador about the current catastrophic state of BiH's government and the lack of ideas prevailing among those who make up the ruling coalition, stressing that a special focus of the SDP will be on proposing solutions to the key problems of all citizens of our country.

Nikšić reminded that, according to the Constitution and laws of this country, the government in BiH is formed on the principle of civic legitimacy, not the legitimacy of peoples, and that this is a constitutional fact that no political agreement can change.

-The interest of BiH citizens is to have a stable government. As an opposition party, the SDP supports any political agreement that will result in the formation of a stable government. So, we hope that the election winners will at least form a stable government a year after the elections, but we will always be a barrier to the policy of further divisions in BiH, said Nikšić, who at the end of the meeting informed Ambassador Del Vechio about further activities regarding the SDP, especially the intention to strengthen the SDP in the area of the Republika Srpska and western Herzegovina, the SDP BiH announced.
