Nikšić and Čović in Konjic: Much-needed internal dialogue, stability, and consensus

(Patria) - Presidents of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić and HDZ BiH Dragan Čović met today in Konjic.

Čović informed his followers on the X platform about this meeting in two sentences.

"An important conversation at a crucial moment with Nermin Nikšić in Konjic, where we discussed the functioning of government, political dialogue, and upcoming steps at the level of FBiH and BiH.

Internal dialogue, stability, and consensus are urgently needed for both internal affairs and for the European path of BiH," wrote Čović.

Later, HDZ BiH also issued a statement, emphasizing that the meeting covered topics of the current political situation in BiH and the region, as well as the stability and functioning of institutions at all levels, with a special focus on current challenges and upcoming priorities in addressing internal and foreign policy issues.

"At this meeting, a common stance was highlighted that it is necessary to ensure an atmosphere of stable political dialogue among all participants in power as soon as possible, in order to achieve reform steps on the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina by March, and equally, to resolve all priority issues at the level of the Federation of BiH.

HDZ BiH President Čović and SDP BiH President Nikšić reaffirmed at today's meeting their commitment to achieving the necessary progress, cooperation, and stability in order to enable the passage of priority legal solutions through constructive political dialogue and to take steps that bring Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to the European Union and general socio-economic progress without delay," stated HDZ BiH.
