Nikšić: It is definitively clear that Izetbegović sold the country

Regarding the statement of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik on N1's Pressing that SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović gave him more than he could have dreamed of, it is obvious that he has now confirmed what we in the SDP have been saying for months, said the President of the SDP of BiH Nermin Nikšić.

- It is definitively clear now that Bakir Izetbegović effectively sold the country and the interests of preserving the unity of BiH by agreeing in a cafe to Dodik's demands regarding the coordination mechanism. After that, Izetbegović and his SDA went a step further by incorporating the cantonal or Čović's veto on all decisions into such a mechanism. This reduced BiH to the will of Dodik and Čović. If the price we have to pay for progress on the EU path is a confederal arrangement and the division of Bosnia and Herzegovina, then we do not need such an EU – Nikšić told N1 and added:

- It is much more important to stop the disintegration of the state, because it is unacceptable that the compromise orchestrated by the SDA is only what the HDZ and SNSD policies allow. Only a united state of BiH can enter the EU, not some three mini ethnic states as Izetbegović, Dodik, and Čović clearly want. The supreme interest of all of us at this moment is to stop such a policy. I call on the citizens to clearly say NO to such a policy on October 2nd – said Nikšić, reports NAP.
