Nikšić: BiH has friends in center and left-wing parties in Europe

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The President of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić said that he believes the time has come when numerous European countries that are significant factors in the European and world political order will finally respond to calls for action and take concrete steps regarding the blockades and threats to peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens did not cause the problem themselves, so we cannot solve it alone. That was a rule that applied before, and it clearly applies now.

We, in SDP BiH, are in regular contact with our friends from sister parties of the Party of European Socialists. We have undertaken a series of activities and submitted a series of information about the current situation and the only possible way out of the crisis, which implies clear action against the destroyers of the legal order and promoters of hatred, segregation, and discrimination.

The feedback we are receiving from our friends is encouraging. I also take this opportunity to thank the members of our sister parties in Europe who originate from Bosnia and Herzegovina. They also make a significant contribution to the fight for truth and the protection of the interests and rights of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Equally, I must emphasize that Bosnia and Herzegovina has friends in other political movements and parties of the center and left across Europe, and even some right-wing ones, but who are still dedicated to protecting human rights and the rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina as an internationally recognized, sovereign state.

I am convinced that Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens will emerge as the winner from the current crisis that has been imposed on this country both from surrounding centers and by certain political organizations within the country that work against their homeland.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will survive as a unified, sovereign state, a future member of the European Union and NATO, whether someone likes it or not," Nikšić stated.
