Nikšić: If concessions to Čović continue, we will enter 2017 with three entities

The President of SDP BiH Nermin Nikšić spoke about the current political situation in BiH, the fight against crime and corruption, unresolved scandals and the future of the country on TV1's Dnevnik, reports the Patria News Agency. 

The President of SDP BiH and former entity Prime Minister Nermin Nikšić blames the current Government of the Federation of BiH the most for erasing and dividing everything successfully inherited from the previous convocation along national lines, he stated while guesting on TV1's Dnevnik. He states that apart from talk of changes, nothing concrete has been offered in the FBiH Parliament as a measure from the reform agenda.

“Except for the Labor Law, which I think is catastrophic, and I blame them the most for that. We also have a situation where pensioners are signing an agreement with this Government for the regular payment of pensions. With us, they signed agreements for pension increases”, stated Nermin Nikšić.

BiH has had a year marked by Dragan Čović, President of HDZ BiH and Chairman of the Presidency of BiH, Nikšić believes. He adds that he could not have dreamed of everything that would be achieved in 2015.

“I fear that the next year will also be marked by these concessions, because we could enter 2017 with ethnic electoral units and three entities. I hope that the awareness and conscience of representatives at all levels will awaken and that we will start working in the interest of all citizens of BiH. It is clear that the current government, without any provocation, will get the opportunity to apply for EU membership, but if it ends there, I think we will have even more problems in BiH”, concluded Nikšić.
