Nikola Špirić is no longer the Speaker for the majority in the House of Peoples of BiH

Violating the Rules of Procedure for a chair is a clear abuse of power.

Eight delegates constitute both the general and entity majority in the House of Peoples. We don't remember anyone abusing the Rules of Procedure so brutally to prevent their own removal from the position of Collegium member and current Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

With his arrogance and the erosion of delegate dignity, he certainly has nine out of 15 delegates against him who would vote for his removal.

Likewise, three SNSD delegates and one HDZ delegate blocked the quorum on this personnel issue.

We don't remember anyone using the quorum to prevent their own removal from the Speaker's chair.

Representatives and delegates have political responsibility when the Collegium of both houses and the Council of Ministers of BiH are appointed.

This is important to emphasize because the constitutional and procedural mechanisms for preventing removal, i.e., replacing a Collegium member in the House of Peoples and removing a minister from the Council of Ministers of BiH through the House of Peoples, are also much more complex, complicated, and lengthy.

Those who voted for Špirić and all SNSD ministers bear the greatest political responsibility.

It seems to me that SNSD, with the support of HDZ, will push this unresolved situation until the next elections in 2026.
