No one has the right to doubt Safet Sušić's integrity

The list of players for the BiH football team for the friendly match against Egypt on March 5th has caused various reactions. While some regular players are not on the list, coach Safet Sušić has called up three players from the Croatian Football League.

The criticism was mainly directed at the call-up of young Tino Sušić from Hajduk Split, who is coach Sušić's cousin. We sought a comment from former coach Miroslav Ćiro Blažević. For the BiH news agency Patria, Blažević was categorical.

- No one has the right to doubt the integrity of Safet Sušić, and I am very sorry that some people are questioning his namesake from Hajduk. I have followed this kid, and he has all the merits to be in the squad – stated Blažević.

According to the popular Ćiro, our people just look for opportunities to find some anomaly, even where there isn't one.

- I am very sad about that. Coach Sušić would never allow himself any acrobatics without legitimacy – says Blažević.

Otherwise, since this season, Blažević has taken over Sloboda Tuzla, with whom he has big plans.

- We are preparing, we know it will be difficult – Blažević said in a phone conversation with NAP.
