Germans disappointed by defeat: Bosnians were smarter and deserved to win

The current world champion in sitting volleyball, and since Wednesday also the European champion, is Bosnia and Herzegovina, which defeated Germany in the final without losing a set, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

BiH had already qualified for the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro by winning the world title in 2014.

The captain of the German team, Heiko Wiesenthal, said they were sorry they did not manage to win at least one set.

- We would have liked to win one set, for the phenomenal crowd. However, the well-trained Bosnians were smarter in the decisive phases and deservedly won – said Wiesenthal.

We remind you that BiH defeated all its opponents with the same score of 3:0 (Hungary, Netherlands, Serbia, Poland, Ukraine and Germany). They arrived in BiH last night with three vans, modestly and without much fanfare, led by coach Mirza Hrustemović.

The BiH sitting volleyball team has won the European title nine times, the world title three times, and first place at the Paralympic Games twice.
