No majority to vote for a break in the work of the KS Assembly, adoption of the Law on Communal Police also uncertain

(Patria) - It was heated today at the session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, and after the discussion on the Proposal of the Law on Communal Police of Sarajevo Canton and the introductory remarks on the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Ministries and Other Bodies of the Sarajevo Canton Administration, there was no majority for a break.

Seventeen deputies voted for the break, and the Chairman of the KS Assembly, Elvedin Okerić, requested a re-vote, but that was also unsuccessful, so he called a 15-minute break at the request of the People and Justice Club.

It remained unclear when the deputies would appear in the hall and whether the session would continue after 15 minutes or at the time previously proposed (16:15), although it was not voted on.

Today's session and the discussion on the Law on Communal Police took place over several hours, with conflicting opinions, and even insults among the deputies.

Opposition deputies had numerous objections to the text of the law, stating that there are numerous nomotechnical omissions and ambiguities in the law, and that some articles are not even completed, which would hinder the application of the law itself.

Minister of Communal Economy Mladen Pandurević rejected all criticisms and emphasized that it is a good law that regulates the area of communal cleanliness.

The vote on the Law will take place after the agenda is exhausted, unless the session is interrupted due to the lack of the required majority in the KS Assembly.
