No quorum: Only four out of 11 UNSA Steering Committee members attended the session

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Today's extraordinary session of the Steering Committee of the University of Sarajevo was not held due to lack of quorum; only four out of eleven members were present, told the Rector of the University of Sarajevo, Rifat Škrijelj, to the media.

The following did not attend the session: Sifet Kukuruz, Sandra Začinović, Prof. Dr. Dijana Avdić, Prof. Dr. Jasminka Gradaščević-Sijerčić, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dejan Milošević, ddr. Lidija Zvačko, and Haris Zahiragić from the student representatives. Škrijelj also stated that the absence of three members was justified: Prof. Milošević, who is at a conference in Belgrade, Lidija Zvačko, who broke her hand, and Jasmina Gradaščević-Sijerčić due to a family member's illness. Sifet Kukuruz, Assistant Minister for Higher Education, sent an email stating he is on annual leave. The reasons for the absence of the other members are unknown, said Rector Škrijelj.

Today's session was supposed to re-examine the request of Professor Ismet Gavrankapetanović to return to the teaching process at the Faculty of Medicine, where his employment was unlawfully terminated.

The President of the UNSA Steering Committee, Murat Ramadanović, told the media that he believes Prof. Gavrankapetanović should return to the teaching process at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo.

The next Steering Committee session is scheduled for September 7, when the agenda that was supposed to be discussed today will be addressed. Additionally, a regular Steering Committee session is scheduled for September 9.
