Even the Independent Committee has no information on the confirmation of the indictment

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed the indictment against Goran Zubac, director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but they did not want to confirm it this morning either, because, as they say, they cannot do so until all parties in the proceedings receive the delivery notes, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Nevertheless, an official confirmation is expected by the end of the day, and as Enes Obralija, a member of the Independent Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, told NAP, they have not received any official information either.

- So, we still do not have any paper or official statement that the indictment has been confirmed. However, if that happens, I hope that the chairman Žiko Krunić will convene an urgent session of the Independent Committee where we will discuss this problem - says Obralija.

Zubac is charged with negligent work in service during the demonstrations on February 7 this year, when he refused to send members of the Special Unit in front of the building of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the riots at the protests. The confirmation of the indictment should be the last condition for the dismissal or suspension of the head of the Bosnian police agency.

- Only the issuance of an order to conduct an investigation and the confirmation of the indictment are reasons for making a decision on suspension and possibly initiating an initiative for dismissal - added Obralija.
