
(Patria) - Measurements at 6 AM this morning showed that the air quality index in Sarajevo is 182, Zenica 79, Maglaj 73, Kakanj 142, Ilijaš 154, Visoko 119, Vogošća 134, Bihać 79, and Mostar 50.
Due to unhealthy air, aggravated symptoms and intensity of diseases may occur in individuals with heart and respiratory diseases, such as asthma, and all others could start feeling the negative impact of pollution on their health.
The following groups should reduce any outdoor physical activities: pulmonary and cardiac patients, pregnant women, children, and the elderly.
Everyone else should also avoid prolonged or strenuous exertion while outdoors.
Air quality from zero to 50 is good, from 51 to 100 moderately polluted, from 101 to 150 unhealthy for sensitive population groups, from 151 to 200 unhealthy, from 201 to 300 very unhealthy, and above 300 is dangerous to health.
