Independent Board requested verification of work experience for candidates for FUP Director and Deputy Director

(Patria) - At today's session of the Independent Board of the FBiH Parliament, the received applications for the Director and Deputy Director of the Federal Police Administration were opened.

Two applications arrived for the FUP Director: Igor Marić from the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the West Herzegovina Canton, and Baro Pršljo, head of the PU Jajce.

Only one application arrived for the Deputy Director: Vahidin Šahinpašić, a long-time inspector of SIPA, former head of the Criminal Investigation Department, and current head of the War Crimes Department.

The Independent Board today decided to request information from the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund for all candidates in order to verify their work experience and whether they meet the requirements, as well as proof of no criminal record.

After the Independent Board receives the requested data, interviews will be scheduled accordingly, followed by the compilation of ranking lists which will be sent to the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the Law on Internal Affairs of FBiH, the minister and the director cannot be from the same constituent nation. Currently, FUP is headed by Aldin Sinanović, who only received the rank of chief inspector last week.
