Independent Board Again Defends Goran Zubac

At the session of the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PSBiH), after a comprehensive discussion and various opinions expressed, no final decision was made on initiating an initiative to adopt a decision on the eventual suspension of the Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) Goran Zubac, writes the Patria News Agency.

The Independent Board concluded that it is premature to make a decision because a court proceeding is underway before the Court of BiH against SIPA Director Goran Zubac for negligent work in office, in connection with the citizen protests held in Sarajevo on February 7, 2014.

Otherwise, it is known that Krunić has been looking for legal reasons all along not to suspend his friend Zubac.

In this way, the members of the Independent Board, led by Žiko Krunić, have again defended Zubac, even though a decision was made that he does not have access to classified information.

However, it was concluded that no legally binding decision has been made to prohibit the SIPA Director from accessing classified information, and the Independent Board will make a decision on the eventual initiation of the aforementioned initiative in the coming period, i.e., when the legal conditions are met.
