Independent Board has not made a final decision on Zubac's dismissal

The Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina today considered information on the activities of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH in light of current security events in BiH, particularly in connection with the attack on the President of the Government of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, at the commemorative gathering in Potočari on July 11, 2015.

After hearing the report of the Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH, the Independent Board concluded that it will continue the process of establishing facts, after a written report of the Directorate regarding the events in Potočari is submitted to the Independent Board.

The Independent Board today also considered the initiative of the Minister of Security of BiH for the dismissal of the Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency of BiH (SIPA) Goran Zubac. The Independent Board has not made a final decision on the said initiative. In this regard, the Chairperson of the Independent Board, using the powers under the rules of procedure, will request that the Board be provided, within 7 days, with a report on SIPA's work for the past year, after which the Board will reconsider the initiative of the Minister of Security of BiH within a reasonable time.
