Independent Board and Council of Ministers can take measures against Zubac

The Office of the High Representative in BiH, in a statement for the Bosnian news agency Patria, regarding the confirmation of the indictment against Goran Zubac, director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, states that the laws in BiH provide for the possibility of taking certain measures.

However, they call on the Independent Board and the Council of Ministers of BiH to act. The OHR states that a judicial process is underway and that "this process should be conducted in accordance with the law."

- The law provides for the possibility that the Independent Board and the Council of Ministers decide on measures they can take in such situations, and it is up to them to make those decisions in accordance with the law - say the Office of Valentin Inzko.

According to their position, persons in positions that enjoy public trust have an obligation to perform their duties in accordance with the highest standards in order to preserve the integrity of the institutions they represent, reports the Patria agency.
