(Patria) - The Independent Board of the BiH Parliament has scheduled an urgent session for July 24.
On the agenda is only one item: consideration of the notice of withdrawal of the request for dismissal of Darko Ćulum, director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency.
We remind you that Ćulum submitted his resignation on March 18, but the Council of Ministers of BiH did not dismiss him, justifying it by saying that SIPA would remain headless in that case. On the other hand, although Ćulum clearly acted on political orders, directly obeying the RS leadership's order to leave the Court, Prosecutor's Office, HJPC, and SIPA and move to the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Independent Board did not initiate disciplinary proceedings.
After Milorad Dodik secured the lifting of the detention measure by appearing before the Court of BiH on July 4, Ćulum sent a letter to the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Independent Board on July 9, withdrawing his resignation and returning to the position of director.
He appeared at the SIPA building on July 14, and on the same day, he took an official car.
State deputies Jasmin Emrić and Šemsudin Mehmedović filed a criminal complaint against Ćulum with the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
Given previous examples, it is not excluded that the session of the Independent Board will not be held, considering that a quorum requires at least one member from each constituent nation.
Otherwise, the mandate of the Independent Board of the BiH Parliament expired in January, and a new competition has not yet been announced.
