
(Patria) - The Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at its 36th session, held talks with the leadership of the BiH Border Police to review their work.
The Director, Mirko Kuprešaković, and his Deputy, Ensad Korman, informed the members of the Independent Board about the activities carried out by the BiH Border Police.
Members of the Independent Board received a visit from the non-resident Ambassador of Ireland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, based in Ljubljana, Adrian Farrell.
Discussions were held regarding the visit to the Republic of Ireland, undertaken by the members of the Independent Board within the framework of the European Commission's TAIEX program.
The visit of the Independent Board members to the Republic of Ireland was undertaken to review the best European practices in the work of independent and related bodies involved in the procedure for selecting heads of police agencies.
During the meeting with Ambassador Farrell, mutual gratitude was expressed for the good organization and realization of this visit.
The Independent Board adopted a Decision to announce a Public Competition for the selection procedure of candidates for the position of Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), and determined the text of the Public Competition, which will be published in the upcoming period.
The Independent Board reviewed the Information from the BiH Ministry of Security and adopted a conclusion that will be sent to the Ministry, relating to the activities undertaken by the Independent Board in implementing the recommendations from the Fifth Evaluation Round of GRECO for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
