Independent Municipal Mayors and City Mayors Invite Others to Join Them

In Bosanski Petrovac, after a meeting of seven independent municipal mayors and city mayors, the first Proclamation of Independent Municipal/City Mayors was signed, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

It was signed by the municipal mayors of Bosanski Petrovac Zlatko Hujić, Stari Grad Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, Visoko Amra Babić, Bužim Zikrija Duraković, Kalesija Sead Džafić, Goražde Muhamed Ramović, and the city mayor of Zenica Fuad Kasumović.

As stated, the independent mayors felt an obligation to connect and in some way repay the voters who gave them their trust. They also have support from the EU Special Representative Lars Gunnar Wigemark, with whom they held a meeting, as well as numerous businessmen and patriots who want a better Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mayor Hadžibajrić, as the only mayor from the Sarajevo Canton, said that this is a document that will position them as an alternative to the existing political parties that keep Bosnia and Herzegovina in stagnation and political crisis.

As stated in the document, the invitation is open to all other municipal mayors and city mayors, holders of public office, and members of the academic community to join them.
