Independent Bloc Celebrates Third Anniversary

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Three years ago, on this day, the political party Independent Bloc was formed, and Senad Šepić was elected its leader.

The Independent Bloc was founded at the first convention and founding assembly, which consisted of 60 founders from all over BiH.

This political option has undergone a transformation in the past three years. Many have come, some have left, some have stayed, but day by day the Independent Bloc has grown into a respectable political option on the political scene of BiH.

The convention was attended by a large number of international guests and representatives, such as Dr. John Hayward, envoy of Theresa May's British Conservative Party, and telegrams of support were sent by representatives of the European People's Party, Angela Merkel's German CDU, former High Representative Christian Schwarz-Schilling, and other officials.

Today, the Independent Bloc is a parliamentary party at the level of BiH and the Federation of BiH entity. 

Local elections will be their first for this level of government, and they have registered in about 30 local communities and expect a successful campaign. 

The President of the Independent Bloc, Senad Šepić, recalled the founding of the party on Facebook and commented on its path so far: "Three years since the founding of the Independent Bloc. We are moving forward. Thank you to everyone who has remained consistent with the idea that brought us together and shown that in BiH politics, there are still people, politicians, and a party that cannot be bought. I believe that voters will appreciate and reward this in the 2020 elections."
