Independent Bloc Launches European Academy

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The Independent Bloc is launching the European Academy - a one-year program of political education and training for young leaders from all spheres of society, with a special emphasis on programs for the accelerated accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Euro-Atlantic integrations.

The aim of launching this program is to educate, involve, and motivate capable individuals for political and social action, develop democratic political culture and cooperation on issues of general social interest, and to initiate the environment in which they live.

All citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, aged 17 and over, can apply for the European Academy program. Participants will be provided with excellent working conditions, prominent lecturers, relevant topics, useful workshops, and study visits (if circumstances related to the pandemic allow), which will help them in their future work and activities.

Participants will develop debating and communication skills, and will engage in improving and creating public policies, political campaigns, political branding, etc. In addition, during the program, they will attend part of the seminars in BiH, have the opportunity to work with experienced senior colleagues, complete part of the training within the bodies and institutions of the Independent Bloc, and participate in international programs and study visits to European Union institutions in Brussels (if circumstances caused by the coronavirus pandemic allow).

Lecturers will be prominent domestic and international experts from politics and other areas of public life.
