Independent Bloc: While RTRS reveals protected witness's identity, BiH Prosecutor's Office is idle

SARAJevo, (Patra) - The Independent Bloc expresses hope that the prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić had a pleasant weekend and that they will be rested and in good spirits tomorrow or during the week to take action regarding the disclosure of the identity and location of a protected witness in the case of "Josipović and others" that was conducted before the Court of BiH.

"A week has already passed since the public television service of the Republika Srpska entity, RTRS, published this information, which required an immediate reaction from the competent prosecutor's office. The collusion of the media – especially those whose successor is today's RTRS – with VRS criminals has never been adequately treated by the courts, and the behavior of the BiH Prosecutor's Office towards the obvious violation of the law goes beyond the previous disregard for the role of this criminal media in open complicity in the destruction of the legal order of this country," said the Independent Bloc.

They add that the protection of witnesses holds a key place in that order.

"And therefore, we expect the BiH Prosecutor's Office and Chief Prosecutor Gordana Tadić to immediately and without delay initiate proceedings against the natural and legal persons responsible for revealing the identity of protected witness M-16, who spoke about the role of the current Prime Minister of the RS entity, Radovan Višković, in the Srebrenica genocide," said the Independent Bloc.
