Independent Bloc: The Alternative Lies in the Middle Way

MOSTAR, (Patria) - The Independent Bloc held a meeting with citizens last night at the National Theatre Mostar, with guests including Senad Šepić, candidate for the BiH Presidency, Elmedin Konaković, president of the People and Justice party, Fuad Kasumović, Mayor of Zenica, Kemal Dizdarević, respected surgeon and holder of the NB list for the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, Salko Sokolović, holder of the list for the BiH Parliament from Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, and Adis Šehić, holder of the list for the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Assembly.

Fuad Kasumović, Mayor of Zenica, stated that the authorities have shown their true colors over the years, and that citizens need an alternative. "The path we are on is a dead end, our country is weak. Weakness attracts both illness and aggression. Citizens must be offered an alternative. I have already tried this recipe in Zenica, where I ran on my own and defeated all parties," Kasumović stated.

Dino Konaković, president of the People and Justice party, also spoke at the rally in Mostar.

- We had no dilemma in stating that Senad Šepić is the best solution. I know he always had the backbone and character to say things as they are, which was not popular with former presidents Tihić and Izetbegović. That character also cost him his status in the SDA, and we understand each other well on that - Konaković said.

Senad Šepić, president of the Independent Bloc and candidate for the BiH Presidency, stated that he wants to earn voters' support through a new, honest, and transparent policy, solutions, and good people.

- I believe that our people will assert themselves here in Mostar as well, which has been isolated and rejected due to past policies. Other policies in Sarajevo are making deals at the expense of Mostar and this part of the country. A turnaround can be made through key issues, issues that we primarily want to communicate and that should move all of us forward. These are the balanced development of the entire country, ensuring that institutions, not individuals, govern the country, and faster accession to the European Union - Šepić stated.
